1) Why do people choose to eat products that are unhealthy for them? (food stuffs) 2) What roles/responsibilities does the gov't have in framing your choice? (Should they be responsible for educating us? should they be responsible for managing all products we consume? GM included, plastic chemicals - poisonous additives)
People eat unhealthy food because they live in the now, they think what doesnt kill them will make them stronger, they think whatever they eat they will work off later. Not taking into consideration that unhealthy food goes into different parts of their bodies and literally you are what you eat. Some people eat unhealthy because they are not educated enough to know what is good and what is bad. Some just don't care.
If the government say's corn is bad and gave concrete facts why everybody would believe their statement and stop eating corn. People believe the government when it comes to food. For an example a couple years ago it was said that plastic water bottles if in the sun too long can give cancer, so in result to this news we all freaked out and got tin can watter bottles. Its green, fashionable and won't give you cancer, how fancy.
Honestly it doesn't matter who teaches us about food and healthy products vs unhealthy products because anyone can lie, anyone can miseducate.
The government has more of an infulence on the population, therefore they should be responsible for teaching us.
